Wireless Drops out.

So here is the deal:
I have a wireless router hooked up to my desktop, and use wireless to connect with my laptop.
Randomly, every few hours, few hours or even few weeks, the wireless just stops being connected. It still shows full signal when i try to reconnect, but it never does. When i do click "connect", the button grays out for 5 secs, lights up again, then stops trying - never giving me an error message. I can connect to other wireless networks during this time, but not my own.
Then, as randomly as it left, it comes back. This can be 10 minutes or 2 weeks until it decides to reconnect.
A forced power-cycle of the router and modem will get it to work, but only until it disconnects again.
