router If it's like mine there is a small hole on bottom of router marked reset, insert a small object into hole and push.
I used a paperclip, best not to use a pencil.

And since there are no less than 3 IP addresses that can change, which one are you asking about?

The internet IP, your LAN IP, the PC's LAN IP or the router LAN IP?

That should be explained in the user manual. A rather common is that very small hole in the pack you put a paperclip in and press.

my router is D-link 604
firstly, i login at 192.168.0.1 and then i changed the password but not effected upon my changing .so now i can't login again and i can't set password for my Router
please help me to reset my password and my user name

If you followed the reset instructions for this router in post 4 and you didn't tell if you read the manual for the name and password to use after the reset.

The dlink site has the manual. While the use of the reset button is well known and easy, I have to download and read the manual for the default name and password.

I think you are asking me to download and read the manual but am not sure.

I have a DIR 615 wireless D -Link Router connected with a fire wire to my Desktop XP frofessional operating system. I have a new laptop with windows Vista operating system. I cannot use my laptop at home because I don't have the password for the router.
