HELP-Using a dial up modem to enable remote call forwarding
by MikeMegaphone - 12/6/12 10:35 PM
I have searched for literally WEEKS, to try to find an answer to this question. I own an answering service. When our VOIP lines go down we have copper POTS lines running into our service that I can enable through remote call forwarding access pilot numbers and entering the client office#, then an identification pin, then the number I want the calls forwarded to. What I need to be able to do is:
1. Make my modem dial a regular phone number, then wait, dial an office phone number, wait, dial a pin number, wait, then dial the number I want the calls forwarded to. 2. Hang up, and do this again about twenty times.
So far I think I have figured if I issue command to the modem in hyperterminal like this:
atdt 14125554444,,,4126665555,1234,4124445555,,H
it will remote forward one number for me. My problem is that I cant figure out how to get it to do this over and over again with different numbers each time. And how to make this into a script or batch file that one of my employees can just click from the desktop and it picks up and forwards about twenty lines for me. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
