RDP into PC with Dial up on

Hello, I have a PC in one of offices that is located on LAN (ip 10.2.1.1) and I am RDPing from PC on network 10.1.1.1. All works ok, until destination PC connects to Dial-up for one of the programs. I lose connection to pc from remote office, but still able to connect from any PC on same subnet. How can I resolve the issue and be able to connect from both offices?

Most desktop RDP systems are single user. So it has to drop one to service the next.

That is, unless you are running Windows Terminal Server.

not rdp

I am able to connect from another PC on same subnet, the issue is not with RDP part, but being unable to connect to PC (unpingable) from another subnet while PC using dial up for 30 min or so.

Still sounds like a limitation of RDP except for TS

There is some limitation that Microsoft will have to explain to you about this. It sounds familiar but I haven't worked on dialup ras/rdp for years. I know there are issues with it but unless you install Terminal Server what you are complaining about rings a bell that "it's limited and broken in places."

The cheap fix we used was to install a second PC. Today we use simple cheap netbooks because they pull 10 Watts vs the usual desktop 100+ Watts so we save bucks in just a few months.
