How do I connect Dial-up ISP with Optimum cable modem? HELP!

SITUATION: Recently my family and I have been directly impacted by the present economic recession. I've been laid off from my job and presently my wife's job provides our family's only income. We are trimming our expenses and want to employ the most economical solutions in respect to our ISP.
Our phone, internet, and cable T.V. are all provided by the Optimum service. It's not cheap but we keep costs down by suscribing only to basic services. We have one Dell Dimension PC (OS XP Home)connected by ethernet to an Optimum supplied Scientific Atlanta cable modem which is connected to a D-Link 615 router which provides our broadband connection. We have one digital phone connected to modem's one of two phone slots.
Our son has a Compaq Presario PC (OS XP Home) with no ethernet adapter and only dial-up. His ISP will be NetZero. He uses a rotary phone.
How do we configure and connect his Compaq PC to use the cable modem to dial-up NetZero?
Scientific Atlanta MODEM has one ethernet slot, two phone slots, one USB.
D-Link 615 router has 4 ethernet ports
Compaq Presario 4410US has USB port and a phone and phone line slot---no wireless adapter
We've tried everything except divination. We really can't afford additional hardware or software and my son graduates high school in three months and really needs a separate low cost ISP connection to complete his final projects.
Our Sincere gratitude for any and all help provided the generous knowing ones.
