30kb/s download, freakshow out of nowhere.

I'm used to a throughput(sustained)rate of about 5kb/s.

Last night was nothing short of bizarre.
From the start, it peaked at 30kbs and I got a 212mb demo in less than 3 hours.

At the moment, I couldn't believe it and I used Google's system monitor to confirm the extreme speed.
I could replicate the event and track down the server messages, but it doesn't mean that it would explain everything.

Now, the how and why, I'm pretty clueless at the moment, let me know if any of you more experienced guys can add some functional insight to this discussion.

It turns out that nginx(engine-x) servers are behind the extreme speed I saw last night.
I accessed the same web site and with my download manager once again peaked at 30kb/s, a sustained throughput of 20kb/s.
Without the use of a download manager, I only got a speed of 9kb/s.
Ngin-x is the 4th most used server at the moment.
Ngin-x w32 is available, I installed it without any appreciable results.
