IS COPPER.NET ANY GOOD?

I am looking to change my internet service provider and I am thinking of trying this service so I would be interested in hearing what your experience has been like with them. I live in upstate NY and have Frontier internet service at this time and it is SUPER SLOW and expensive!

You cannot change the physics of the telephone cable pair. Besides, think about this. Who owns the telephone cable pair? Answer - the phone company. All dial-up ISPs, and I mean every one of them, lease the copper cable pair from the phone company. They will all give the same results. For faster service you have to move to DSL, cable, or fiber.

Copper.net

I used Copper.net 2 years ago for 1 month. Not very happy. Perhaps a coincidence, but during use my laptop was totally corrupted. This never happened before or after.

Is it dial-up?

It is almost definitely horrible if it is. I have Verizon power DSL and I live near a hub. My internet speed is 54 Mbps. Look for Verizon DSL/High Speed internet or Fios.

I have FRONTIER right now and it is one of the most HORRIBLE services out there today! I am unable to get Verizon where I live or I would get that.
