your so right, aarp, and peoplepc needs to be told about on not helping people when they said they would, peoplepc told me it would cost 700 a month as long as i kept the account, after a year, they charged me 995 a month, saying they told me it would go up after a year, then I just read how anyone could have it for 795 a month, the service is lousy, they boot you off about 20 minutes after you take about 4-10 to get on line, then about every 3 to 8 hours later they boot you off and have a popup asking if you want back on line, then they changed the billing date, i wanted to pay on the first of the month, then after a year, they changed it to the 12th,and even though i had the bill paid, they said i owed a late charge for the new billing cycle is now the 12th,and i didnt pay,and they dont prorate so i have to pay the whole 995 again,so now im always behind on the bill because of the "new" date, then they take off the local call numbers for me to conect to them and i would have to pay for long distance,i couldnt even get on line to tell them to cancel. i only have local calls and cant do long distance.so now i have another internet hook up and still need to cancel. i printed all your coments on peoplepc in case i need it for court, police reports or anything. goodluck all
