ISP support for WinCE

I bought a used HP Jornada 720 just to fiddle around with and wonder if anyone has used BAMnet. BAMnet supports all kinds of operating systems, including WinCE. Its cheapest prepaid plan costs $20 for 5 hrs.

If anyone has tried BAMnet, let me know.

Your subject title was "ISP support for wince". Since that's the subject, I wondered if you wondered if wince was supported. It is.

Thanks. I guess I am a little sloppy with Subject Titles.

It looks like BAMnet is popular with truckers and recreational vehicle types and doesn't appear to be a fly-by-night outfit.

Jornada 720 Earthlink works fine

BAMnet worked but after searching the Internet thoroughly I found Tweaks2K2. Among several tweaks was one which allows my HP IE ''Pass as IE6.0'' and also allows me to store my Temporary Internet files on the CF card.

After a lot of trying with settings, I can access the Internet with no problem and even use Earthlink Webmail.

The mail program in the Jornada also works fine with my POP Earthlink account although the pmail program that comes on the Jornada takes some getting used to.

Overall, the Jornada 720 is a pretty neat little pocket computer.
