youtube will only play certain vids.

A lot of my youtube vids.have recently stopped playing. All I get is a black screen with a static loading circle. however, the same vids play perfectly on my partner's 6 year old Packard Bell XP desktop. I have good broadband speed and the latest Adobe Flash. I know that there are a lot of issues since Google became involved but why does my partner's streaming work and mine,in a lot of cases dosen't

This had once happened with me also.But the problem got solved automatically.Try to reinstall adobe.

Thanks for your reply and I know that Adobe is, nearly always, the "usual suspect" but in my particular case the solution was to delete my cache and cookie files. hope this helps any others with the same ploblem as I know youtube can be very frustrating

Same happen with me also last month and i observed that on my laptop it was not working but on pc it was working fine, though i don't no the exact reason but i thought it might be some server issues of IP conflict hope so. Fortunately it's working fine now.
