Can i conver a phone line into an ethernet line

I have cable with a wireless router and would like to run a hardwired Ethernet through my phone lines (i think they are cat5). anyways they are daisy chained from my living room to kitchen then to my office. I was wondering if it was at all possible to convert them so that i can get a hardwired to my living room. this means i would have to convert my office then go through kitchen then to living room. any help would be great. I have comcast internet and dish network tv so i can not just move my modem to my living room. any help would be great.

I found a wireless gaming adapter (http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-WGA54G-Wireless-G-Gaming-Adapter/dp/B00009X6DT) would this work to hook up my dish network box its the VIP722, i want to do this so they do not charge me 5 dollars extra a month. my wireless internet is wep protected i dont know if that will effect this or not. thanks for the quick reply
