comcast high speed internet VS: verizon fios

comcast moves at 1.5 to 7mbps and now verizon fios moves at 15mbps to 20mbps
now with this i wanna know will comcast come out with something to match these new speeds, and how long do you think it will take for them to come out?
do you think comcast will lose people to verizon?

You do pay more for the higher speed so you pay and go faster. The market will decide.

I tried.

Loose to Verizon, maybe. Verizon has just recently buried fiber in my area, and I considered it. But they block port 80 which would prevent me from running my web site from my web server.

But remember this; Connect speed is totally different from download speed. No matter which provider you use, and which technology they use, you're limited by web congestion, site devices, and your PC. You can only download/surf at what is in reality a finite speed.

I was on dial-up, now on Comcast/Time Warner/Roadrunner (pick one). My speed went from 26.4K on a good day to over 6 Meg. There is a difference there.

Your choice, what can you afford?
