Problem logging onto App Store purchases

When I try to log-in to My Purchases on the App Store I get "an unknown error has occurred." I have changed my password for my Apple ID but it made no difference. I can view my Apple ID information in iTunes Store by inputting my email address & my password & so I know that my password is correct.

I think they have a server problem

I got the same error in the app store today on a PC with Windows 8, so I don't think it's an Apple problem! This was my first use of that store, and from what I saw today I think they should change the name from the app store to the crap store. mischief
