problem with program "hide files"??? help me plzz

hi.
i have the program to hide files in my computer.
last week something weird happend and i cant open some of the files and make them visible.
importent to mention that other files i can normally make visible and invisble and the problem is only on 4 files...

Why is such an app needed?

Given how most of this is simply done with file/folder permissions, why would I need an app.

My advice is to get to the command line to list the folder contents, change the permissions and eject this app since it's uncalled for and dangerous.
