Restoring from a Time Machine backup would probably put this suspected keyboard tracker back on the MBA.
What makes you think that there is a tracker installed on your machine?

I have had the main strength of a patent swindled from me.
My work place has been broken into countless of times, and it is hard to perform security when they removed the wall of the building to gain entry and without stealing any major amounts of stock with up to $50,000 worth, that one man could haves moved in 15 minutes.
My PC was taken control of remotely and the only data that was attacked was to do with the business.
So I went Mac, and pleased with that hard decision. I have now found from one of my distributors that the patent thieves have tried to even undermine my Australian patent and released information to them that no one knows except this MBA.
Is there any way of finding the keyboard logger software on this MBA it has to be some where.

format the drive.
Reinstall the OS and then put back your business data.
Do NOT use the Time Machine backup to restore your data.
Do NOT leave the MBA at your work place. It should go home with you.
Do NOT run your Time Machine backup at work. Do it at home.
Get a good safe for the Office and the House.
Unlikely that you will be able to find the key logger with anything available.
Backup, (not Time Machine) re-install and restore.

I find it hard to comprehend that something can run, use power and not be noticed unless it is hidden in something else.

Do you know what you are looking for?
I doubt the Activity Monitor would have a line marked ILLEGAL KEYSTROKE LOGGER.
