I'm looking for a good quality DVD ripper and burner for the Mac platform, could anyone recommend?

Freeware not purchased.

But for burning, go native and when you get tired of that, buy Roxio Toast.

Still must be free? Search http://alternativeto.net/software/toast/ for Apple Mac titles.
