Fullscreen App to display weather, news, calendar, etc.

Hey Guys!

I am mounting a TV in my bathroom and was going to run an HDMI/DVI cable through the wall to have my MacBook hooked up to my TV. I want to have some sort of fullscreen app on the display where it flips through different screens; one with weather, one with news, one with my appointments from iCal that day, maybe one with facebook, twitter, etc.

Are there any such apps available?? Also high resolution would be nice!

I know what I'm looking for is more of an internet-enabled TV thing but the only "internet TV upgrade" available made by LG is characterized as mediocre at best so I'd rather save the time and money. Any ideas / solutions would help!

Lots of apps that would do this but,

you would have to be able to control the MacBook to do it.

There may be other solutions but driving the MacBook would seem to be the easiest.


Personally, I use the iPad for bathroom perusing! cool
