Converting a PPT to PDF w. embedded multimedia

I need to convert a PPT (Microsoft PPT, v. 12.2.7) to a PDF (Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro) with embedded audio and video files.The PDF then needs to be uploaded to a podcast site. I can create the PPT with working audio and video, but they do not work once I've saved the file as a PDF. There seem to be a lot of options on Adobe Acrobat; I'm new to this program, bought for the purpose of doing this project, and may need detailed instructions. Or is it something as simple as embedding mp3 vs. WAV files in the original PPT file? I've tried both, and neither work once I do the conversion. There's got to be a way!

Let's try this the other way around. Can you point me to a PDF that has embedded audio and video? I've yet to see that.

Adding flash to your pdf

I am currently working on doing this as well, Nancy. Adobe Acrobat Professional will allow you to add multimedia like audio, video and flash content. I don't know of a way to convert a ppt to a pdf but if you have adobe acrobat pro you can add it that way.

I have a problem though, the pdfs I've created with flash content are not working on Macs. Perhaps it's something I haven't figured out yet, but just a heads up. Also, you'd want to let the end user know that these pdfs are best viewed in a browser and not saved to your hard drive otherwise you get a lot of pop-up warnings.

Actually that other link was for Adobe Acrobat 7. Those Sound and Video Tools are still there, but there's 2 more additional multimedia tools on Adobe Acrobat 9 (3D and Flash).

This other link might be more helpful for Adobe Acrobat 9.

PDF with embedded video/audio

I have this ability through Acrobat Professional 6. Now there is a way of converting so you can upload to other devices, Acrobat 9 with flash, but I saw a website where you can for small cost have all abilites on other devices of need.

PPT to Keynote then Pages

I have been experimenting with Pages documents, to carry sound and video files - I can add, by "Insert" any media I like to a Pages doc but when I choose Export to PDF the Media is ditched, but I don't have Acrobat Pro, maybe it would work.
Certainly you can open PPS and PPT in Keynote and from Keynote send to Quicktime and Pages
