Parallels or Crossover (or other) for 3DS Max on OSX?

Which app would you recommend to use if I want to run 3D Studio Max on OSX? I tried installing with Crossover but had errors, same thing trying to install Counterstrike with Crossover.

Crossover only runs a specific lists of apps.

...so likely you'll need to try Parallels or VMware Fusion instead which virtualize everything. You may want to search online for people's experience with 3D Studio Max under these apps to see if one stands out from the other for compatibility.

Have a copy of Windows?

When I started learning about virtualization I learned Codeweavers' solution isn't that, it's emulation while virtualization allows you to run an installed copy of Windows, usually [installed] via Bootcamp, simultaneously while in the Finder whereas the two OSes, with virtualizaion, coalesce the experience of both OSes without rebooting. You may sincerely want to give Sun Microsystems' FREE Virtualbox a go before spending money on Parallels or VMWare.

Boot Camp is not virtualization,

VMFusion and Parallels are.

Boot Camp only runs one OS at a time.
VMFusion and Parallels do at least 2
