I have a LACIE 100GB ext. HDD and the text that that came along with it warned against trying to back up and iPhoto and iTunes libraries.

Did it warn against using Silverkeeper or was it a generic warning about backing up the iPhoto and iTunes libraries?

Those two can be backed up easily by other programs and even with drag and drop so it may have something to do with Silverkeeper itself.

Reread the warning and let us know

The document notes limits of 4GB and 2GB for file sizes. In today's world of video editing and files that we have well past that size this software seems to be in need of a major overhaul.

However since its free, there is no way to pay the code monkeys.

Bob, I have SilverKeeper that came with my Lacie 250GB drive. I do not need to use this on a regular timed basis.
Thought it was also good as a find option over Spotlight??
