AnyDvdConverter - strange subtitles font, can't change it!

As the title suggests. I am unable to change the font that Any DVD Converter uses for subtitles. The font is not even the default font (tahoma)! It's some strange font that looks square-ish and no curves. I wasn't able to identify it.
If change the font in the options dialogue under subtitles, and even set it to a font outside of the C:\Windows\Fonts directory, doesn't work.
Tried restarting the program, restarting the pc, no change.
Tried re-installing it (version 4.3.4), then updating to version 4.3.7, still doesn't work.
Has anybody else had these issues?
I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate (x64)
I'm converting an .mkv file to an .mp4, which works just fine, and the subtitles themselves work fine as well.
It's only the font that won't change, nor will the program even use the default font it was set it use.
I know it seems like a trivial problem but I honestly can't stand that font and really want to change it. I also haven't met any video converters as good as Any Dvd that also carry over subtitles and is easy to control and setup batches.
If I'm allowed, I'll post a link to tinypic or somewhere with a picture of the font being used.
