no one is familiar with "imgburn". Have you try any other software? Give Nero trial version a try or other (there are so..oo many).

My Nero trial is up so I'd have to buy it to get any more use out of it. Imageburn is free though, and from what I've heard it's better than Nero.

Since IMGBURN has only what capabilities it has you would have to use other software to create the "image" for IMGBURN to burn.

I'm going to elect to not write about what must be a few hundred solutions to that step.

with Imageburn. As in no confusion, I must have just not been looking in the right place/using the right option for it.

Oh well I'll probably just go to the store and buy something since every downloadable software solution seems to have issues and hangups.

While it can do that, you may have wanted it to create a "VIDEO DVD" which is something they (whoever told you IMGBURN does this) may have alluded to.

Just like CDBURNERXP I can put these files on DVD with ease. But they don't play on my TV's DVD player.

Please don't take anything for granted when asking questions or telling people what you want to do.

I should've specified more that I wanted a "video" dvd and not "data" dvd. My movie files are in avi/mpeg/wmv format, which I want to be able to drop into Imageburn so I can burn these movies onto the dvd and watch it them on any dvd player. I'll have to ask specifically how they did it. I thought someone here would be familiar with Imageburn but if not no big deal. Thanks for your replies anyway.

http://www.dvdsanta.com/ has a free demo which you can test drive. It's cheap and does most of what people want to go from files to Video DVDs.

that does what you are asking take a look here:

It is open source and will do all that you originally asked AND it burns with imgburn. It just gets everything ready for imgburn to burn it to disk.

it converts any file type into any other fils type and has a burning program too
