Windows Media Player cannot play DVD
by I.Q. - 10/31/05 1:48 PM
I'm not having much success with creating DVD's. I have several that I made and have played back in the past with the Windows Media player-10, but now they won't play. I get a message box that says "Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer". The only thing different between now and the last time I played a DVD that worked is I have uninstalled my Roxio Videowave 7 program, and the two DVD programs that came with my computer - Sonic MyDVD(4.0) and the Power DVD(4.0C). If I reinstall any (or all ?) of these programs will it solve my problem? I'm now using the Nova Video Explosion Deluxe (which has the Sonic MyDVD Authoring program built into it). If reinstalling any of the above programs solves my problem, will I create another issue with DVD program conflicts?
Thanking anyone who responds in advance I.Q.
