Outlook to Gmail?

A friend is switching from Outlook (RoadRunner email) to Gmail. They want to just use the native Gmail interface via a browser. Is there some way to transfer over all the Outlook folders that they have?

Just thought that seeing something here would be a legitimate suggestion. Can't be sure of the source on the Internet. Thanks anyway. I'll look elsewhere.

That's the contacts.

But it appears Google shut off an old sync method as you read http://www.techspot.com/news/51129-google-drops-gmail-outlook-sync-support-microsoft-surprised.html

For email, try imap. Here's the usual.
