Email spam, subject line: for Rickvid

This appears a few times a week, from friends, usually, but the email address for them is not their actual email. The body of the email reads "Hey, Rickvid" followed by a hyperlink for various locations. I do not click on it, of course. I have contacted some of the senders who know nothing about it, as expected. Any insights?

It's very obvious that the e-mail is attacked by virus.You should turn on your antivirus to check it.

Ya I am agreed with you that email is attacked by virus.but for their protection Norton 360 is not suitable.
For internet security Panda will be more effective.

Since this comes from outside (somewhere in the world) which isn't in your influence sphere, you can't do anyting about receiving it. Did you already have a look at the email headers to see where it comes from?

Since you say it is an uncommon email address you might be able write a rule in your email program to move it to a spam folder or delete it automatically.
