Need help configuring MS Exchange 2007

Hi. I'm working at a small firm and we have an internal network with a Domain Controller. The DC is set up for internal network with domain "novel.alt". But since our current mail server doesn't support shared folders, contacts, etc we decided to move to an Exchange server. I installed a Windows 2003 x64 Enterprise server and put the Exchange 2007 in it. I followed instructions I found on the internet to configure the mailboxes and other stuff, but the mailboxes are like Admin@novel.alt, email@example.com, which doesn't work for me. Our real (just an exmaple) domain name is novelstyle.com so I need to 'tell' the Exchange that the users should be firstname.lastname@example.org, and also webmail available at mx.novelstyle.com
Is it possible to make that change without having to make the server from scratch?
