ATTENTION: ONLINE BUSINESSES

I was on Allurent's website the other day and I read two pretty crazy statistics.
1. 67% of consumers who have visited an online store (intending to buy) left the site because the retailer did not provide enough product information.
2. 83% of online shoppers would make purchases if sites offered increased interactive elements.
To all those e-retailers out there, what can we do to not lose out on all that potential business?
I'm considering adding some type of live chat platform to my site. Maybe one of these: http://live-chat-support-software-review.toptenreviews.com/
Anyone have any insight on how to be more "interactive" with online customers?
