Additionally it has been reported that the use of AdSubtract, and/or GetRight can also cause this. Some users have found they must set encoding in Internet Explorer to Western European (Windows) vs. ISO so that's something else to check.

I am rather late to this forum but will add my comment anyway.
In Outlook Express, click on tools, options and then security tab. Under download images, see if box is checked to block images in html messages.

In response to your tip re 'pictures don't display on OE email' , I, too have that problem on occasion.

Went to check your suggestion, and found that my system is set up correctly.

Any more ideas?

The setting above in the security tab is not applicable ONLY if you have SP2 in Windows XP. (according to Microsoft).
