E-mail, chat, & VoIP forum: Outlook Express 6 Help!!

I use Thunderbird to manage my email and in Thunderbird's Tools > Options, Advanced tab is the option to "Show only the display name for people in my address book".

Whenever you add a contact to your Contact List or Address Book, there is an option for you to change the "Display Name" of the contact, eg, if you add joesmith@email.com, the Display name could be Joe Smith, Joe, Smithy, or whatever you choose.

That Display name entry in the Address Book governs what to display if selected, but your Outlook Express may have the same option in Tools > Options to remove that.

Any unsolicited emails or emails from senders who you have not entered into your address book should still display the full email address in the From field.

Thanks Kees, I really need to see the email address and copy and paste from that line also - most email I recieve is from new people, so the address book thing is no good to me. Any advice on another one? I'm running IE 8 / windows - I don't want to run into all manner of trouble with a new programme! Thanks again, Katja (I use gmail at the moment which is really good, but I want to get away from them!)
