Thunderbird is already running but is not responding. to ...

I have uninstalled Thnderbird for some email problems. than re-instaled another Version.
When I try to lunch it, I receive this message and can't open Thunderbird anymore.


"Thunderbird is already running but is not responding. to open a new window,
you must first close the existing process, or restar your system."

Anybody can help?

Here's how to stop it.

Hit ctrl+alt+delete at the same time

The task manager will appear

click on processes

look for thunderbird.exe

highlight it then click on end process.

wait about 10 seconds and then open Thunderbird again. It should open.

There No thunderbird.exe in the task manager!!

it seams to work in background.

Have a look at John Wilkinson's advice for uninstalling Mozilla Firefox here;

Substitute Mozilla Thunderbird for Mozilla Firefox.

Before trying to re-install, reboot the computer first.
