Unable to open .jpg file. Can't read file header

I tried all software and also tried hex editor and found file header is kind of corrupted and does not resemble a .jpg header. I am unable to fix it. Can somebody fix the file for me please and let me know how. I tried all means. I uploaded the 2mb .jpg file here

Data Back to recover some info this is the message I get when I try to
open any of my jpg files with any picture viewer (Irfan, default Win XP
viewer, MS Paint, etc). I also try to open it with GIMP (UBUNTU) and
nothing happens.Is there an application (binary or hex) I can use to fix the files??Thanks for your help.

Tried putting a JPEG header on it.

And it's not possible since I don't know much else. This is not an offer to continue on that image.

Read http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=170029 about why you would need an image from the same camera and settings to use as a source for the header.
