I am trying to turn a photo into wallpaper. When I set the photo the picture is distorted. Any help? I am using photo elements

First you use high resolution camera or devices to take a picture.
if you have already some good device than adjust your picture as resolution and set desktop background property like streach, fit to screen, etc. if you are not using good devices than it's always blur in high resolution.

may be resizing your image to the specs of a wallpaper-size image, which will cause distortion. You'll probably want to create a canvas in wallpaper-size and then paste your image into and then proportionally resize or crop to fit.

Firstly you open Photoshop then:

Select Image & Copy then Go File->New Set resolution According to your System Just Like 800*600 px.

Then Set the Image Your System Background.
