I want to make this thread genuine. I think printer come with separate chamber and have only one chamber. so the suggested tips can applicable to both kind of printer.

I'm unsure of what more can be added here. The number of times we handle a printer cartridge should be all of two times. The first time is when we put it in to replace the spent cartridge. The second time is when it's empty.

Maybe you had a new question but didn't ask.

Okay, The number one refilling problem is waiting too long to refill my cartridge. When I don't fill up my cartridge right away, the ink will dry and clog the micro holes at the outlet of the printer head. so what can we do at this time..

It doesn't make sense, I think, to refill if the printer driver didn't yet warn you that it's nearly empty. And that, of course, is only for those of us that prefer refilling. Personally, I'm happy with buying third-party cartridges and do not do any refilling myself. But that's up to you.

Look at your FIRST POST at the top. You asked how to handle a cartridge and did not ask about refilling.

-> What you need to know is that refilling is for those that want to try it. They'll learn the lessons pretty fast about whether its worth the trouble.

Here's my handling between refills.

I place the old cart in a place where if it leaked it wouldn't matter. Then I take that old cart to the local Staples where they give me 3 bucks credit. Then I get a new cartridge and install that.

How this answers how I handle old and new cartridges.
