How can I update digital receiver software through the PC?

I downloaded the new software for digital receiver from the internet on the hard disk of PC. I connected the PC to the receiver by an RS cable through COM1 port. But when I excute the new software file I did not notice any response from the receiver. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I'm using star track and openbox decoders, my problem is that,i have intelsat 1002/ku 1.0w, but i can watch it, because if i keyin the code its open after 10min it stop again. i was told i need to update my decoder, its star track SR X1150CU.

This is the "Test" Forum, for testing forum issues. If you are posting here to find an answer to your problems you are unlikely to do so as it is rarely visited.

I would also point out that the other two posts in this thread date from 2006. Even in any of the other forums here, many members will just 'walk on by' when they see these dates.

I recommend you have a look at the forum listing here; See all forums, and decide where you want to repost your question. Please be sure to give as much information as possible.
