Does anyone have any idea why I often get these errors and how I might avoid them?
Sorry, the browser you are using is not currently supported. Disqus actively supports the following browsers:
* Internet Explorer 8+
Another error I often get is:
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
What you can try:
You are not connected to the Internet. Check your Internet connection
Retype the address.
Go back to the previous page.
Most likely causes:
•You are not connected to the Internet.
•The website is encountering problems.
•There might be a typing error in the address.
The error messages only apply to parts of web pages. None of the suggestions in the error messages help. The errors occur on nearly every page I visit, even CNET pages.
I am using IE 10 on a 64-bit Gateway machine and 64 bit version of Windows 8. I use avast!, Malwarebytes and the Windows firewall. All updates and definitions are current.
IE 10 came with the preloaded Windows 8 and cannot be downgraded to an earlier version so needless to say, I hope IE 10 is not the culprit.
