Browsers forum: Firefox stopped playing Flash Videos about two months ago

You've learned a big secret. Ask around, talk about the issues and maybe, just maybe someone will guess what it is.

I'm a bit dumb at times since I've been at this since the GE-210 days. What I may just do without thinking is sadly stuff I forget to share with others. You've been kind enough to chat and as we did, you figured it out!

a YouTube video while I'm browsing something else like the Comedy Network for John Stewart, or vice versa.

Chrome has been working fine, and is now my primary browser while Firefox gets used for anything that doesn't involve Flash Videos. I'm just trying to fix Firefox. It was one of those programs that install Browser Bars without informing you that they're going to do that which seems to have caused the problem. I've cleared off all the Browser Bar programs, but still have a couple which I have to disable since I can't figure out what program they are associated with.

Chrome has Flash builtin and why I asked. Flash installers are in my view pretty broken today. But you didn't tell why you didn't use Adobe's remover and installer.

do it. I'll give that a try, and see if it helps. I did download Flash several times in order to try to get Firefox back to its old self, but no dice. I assume that if I delete Flash as a separate item from the Computer that the Flash Player built into Google Chrome will not be affected?

Again, the flash installer and such looks pretty busted to me today. I've lost track of the hoops I jump through to get it to work today. It feels like Adobe is getting ready to or maybe already pulled the plug on Flash. You can read where they want to promote their AIR product now.

If you've been around, you recall all the hoopla about Flash development software and more. I know a few that learned nothing but Flash MX and such.
