But if I remember rightly, DivX player need to be installed in the OS and not in a browser. After it is installed there may be a browser add-on, but specifically I had to get into my browser's Options > Programs, (or Applications), tab and specify DivX for certain video file types.
That said, I see from Pale Moon's web site that it doesn't have all the features of Firefox so perhaps this is one feature that is missing.

have options for selecting which applications to use in web sites?
If so, does DivX display for AVI video files, (and others perhaps)?

I reckon this may be one of the functions/options that Firefox has but Pale Moon doesn't.
Just one more thing to check. In Firefox when I go to choose an application for a web site file, (like a video, etc), Firefox lists the applications it is aware of, then offers a "Use other..." option. If I select that I can then browse through my programs to find the correct one.
Does Pale Moon not offer that 'browse' option?

Yes Mark, Pale Moon offers the 'use other" and than browse options but Pale Moon isn't listing Divx as an option,I believe the browser isn't recognizing the web player or codecs even though it has me install the plugins, as a matter of fact when Icheck my plug-ins Divx isn't even listed
