IE8 - InPrivate Browsing

For some quirky reason, I like to use InPrivate Browsing. Unfortunately, I don't know how to make IE8 to default to this setting, so I have to do it manually. Awhile ago, cnet had some videos showing how to do this, but they whizzed through the instructions so fast, there was no way I could follow their rather complicated directions.

Could someone give clear, simple instructions on how to set IE8 up to default to InPrivate Browsing and also how to reset to regular browsing if I chose to do so at a later date?

IE's InPrivate browsing is easy to set up so I'm not sure what is happening with yours.

You asked for clear simple instructions and they all are. For example the two links below give simple instructions;

If that fails somehow, then I suspect there are other problems.

1.) Right-click your desktop or a blank area of a folder and go New->Shortcut.
2.) Enter "%ProgramFiles%\Internet Explorer\iexplore" -private as the location and click Next.
3.) Enter the desired name, such as Internet Explorer - In Private and click Finish.

Just use that shortcut to launch IE and it will default to In Private mode.

Then, to disable, just press ctrl + shift + p within IE at any time.
