IE 8 Toolbar

In the last couple of days my IE toolbar is now black, shows numerous IE icons w/o titles, and is scaled so some of the icons are partially covered. Never seen this before. I have right clicked on it and changed the settings. I deleted the program and reloaded it. I worked for a while after updates but now is doing the same. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestions. The changing of "Appearance" seems to work the best. I tried the Shift, Alt, Print Screen but the fix does not stick. Did it yesterday, it worked, but when I booted up this morning the same problem was back.

If it arises again I will let you know.
