IE locks up computer and have to restart

Hi All I have this situation for about a year now and is really frustrating.

I have XP with SP 2 ( cant get sp 3 to load correctly) Anyways...everytime Internet Explorer tries to open it locks up my computer without loading any webpage I tried to reinstall and still no luck. I cant find a way to just plainly unistall it. I have read some other threads with similar topics but have still no real solutions.

ANy ideas???

Go get HIJACKTHIS. Do its scan and for each BHO, delete that item and then try one more time.

IE does not require any BHO to work but many will cause this. This is not an offer to write about a BHO is. You can use a search engine for that.
