IE 8.0 will not display ANY pages?

Using XP SP3 on a Dell xps 400.

I made the huge mistake of trying IE 8.0. Will not display ANY page.
I am using an old ATT Yahoo browser for this session.
Get this message on every page: "A malfunctioning or malicious add-on has caused Internet Explorer to close this webpage".
However, I am running IE 8 without add-on's.
When I first installed IE 8 it worked fine. But the next day it would not display web pages.
I uninstalled and downloaded again. Same result.

Any help is appreciated.

try to go to Tools -> Internet Options
go to " Advanced Tab" and under the inside window ( Settings)
scroll down to the security section and uncheck " Enable memory protection to help mitigate online attacks"
Hit Apply and Ok buttons

Close the browser and reopen it

This should fix your problem.

Alternatively, Right click on My Computer and choose Properties
Then select the Advanced Tab and under performance section click on Settings
select the Data Execution Prevention tab
Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those i select ( 2nd option)
Then click on the Add button and select local disc C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore
and then hit ok and restart the whole computer
This should fix the problem
