Internet "Favorites" verify utility

I have looked many times for a utility to verify my Internet shortcuts (Favorites). I have hundreds and many are likely no good any more. But rather than go through them one at a time, clicking, and verifying a good response, it would be great to run a utiliy that verifies each site as found or not. And if not, output a list of what I named the shortcut, its folder, and the URL. So I can check out only the defective ones. This would not catch reused URLs, but I need something to complain about! (grin).
So anyone out there know of a solution?

AM-Deadlink is just such an application, which is both free of charge and supportive of Internet Explorer, Firefox, and others.
