Reinstall WMP?

Does this problem only occur with streaming video that requires WMP, or does it happens with others that use Real Player or Quicktime as well? If it's just WMP giving you the problem, I'd download a fresh copy of WMP and install, seeing if that solves the problem. Version 10 can be downloaded by clicking here while version 11 (a stable Beta 2) can be downloaded by clicking here. You may also want to go Tools->Options->Security and make sure that the first two boxes under Content are not checked.

P.S. If that doesn't resolve the issue, does the browser freeze or is it just the video?

Not just the browser freezes, the entire computer freezes. The computer screen goes black, flickers on and off, and still plays the video sometimes. The sound plays while the screen flickers, sometimes it stutters. The video while the screen flickers freezes and plays for about a half second. It happens no matter what media player is running. Its some wierd stuff, and I'm not confident reinstalls will suffice.
