Two OS's

I have a 160 GB Inspiron Mini netbook that I am looking to play around with. It has windows XP on it but I would like to try out other OS's without deleting my current OS. I downloaded the newest Ubuntu (Netbook Edition) and would like to install it as another OS on this netbook. Is this possible? Or would I have to say goodbye to my XP?

Yes, it's possible. It's called "dual booting"/ Have a look at http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_windows_xp_and_linux_xp_installed_first.htm . Or Google:ubuntu dual booting

Try Mandriva

2010 Edition.

I have installed on my EeePC 1008HA dual boot with XP and all works right out of the box.

Mandriva has the MCC for more than 10 years and is better than type SUDO commands all over the place to do anything.

Did *bunus added some similar to that now??? Compycats! grin
