Using --display arguement

Hi,

I'm running a command as a different user using sudo like this:

sudo -u user_progs /usr/bin/firefox --display=:0.0

But whenever I pass the "--display" argument, I get an error like:

No protocol specified OR

Error: cannot open display...



Am I missing something here?

You need to link permissions

I found the answer with some help and a little elbow grease.

Under the current user, before su-ing, you must enter the command:

"xauth local:"

(without the quotations, must be repeated upon reboot)

- Case closed.
