Web design & hosting forum: No Frontpage Extensions

I can't guess which extension you used but let me guess anyway.

Did you use some "Publish" button in FP? If so, you could try using the older FTP method. I can't teach FTP here but will try to figure out why you couldn't keep using FP.

It looks like you used the FP Publish method. Let's hope you kept a backup copy and then ... start learning what the new ways are. I can't guess what your web host is offering but right or wrong I find myself back to FTP and copying stuff in with that.

What I did when I moved off FP was to edit my site locally on my HDD then drive it around there. Finally it was the FTP up to the server and then check my work.

Today I might look at GOODSYNC to sync it all up since it could automate the work without having to remember my FTP commands, what files go where in what folder.

If it's not too huge, you can always source view it page by page and copy your stuff to your computer. Make sure you download any images you have as well.

Or get Firefox and the FireFTP extension and just download all the files to your hard drive. You'll need your access info, but if you don't have that, you should be able to recover your username and password from your host.

At least that way, you don't have to recreate the content.
