Up to date 1and1 customer comments and info

I see a thread on here for 1and1 comments and reviews, but its a bit dated. Like to hear from you if you have any recent comments on 1and1 domain hosting and registration.
Now to my part. I've used 1and1 as my registrar for over 100 domains for the last 3 years or so. In that time everything has been good: easy domain purchase and management which is what I wanted.
But I've had my first problems with domain name server pointing, and its been a nightmare for 3 weeks now. 5 emails and a call to their tech support every two days and the result is nothing. Can't get past first level support. I'm told everything will be corrected promptly but nothing happens. To say the least I am very disappointed with the tech support service.
I don't want or need any further problems, so unless I can get the current problem rectified promptly I will be looking for another registrar to port my domains to as they come up for renewal.
Just a caution to anyone thinking of using 1and1.
