Is there a free web design software for Windows 7 (simple)

Hi all, I have been asked to make up a simple three page website for use on a HP Pavilion laptop which is running Windows 7 (64bit) We already have the web address, but need to design it and then upload it to the site. Is there a free one that allows you to drag and drop, re-size picures and pages etc.?? Someone offered me Dreamweaver, but found that to be over the top and requiring a lot of time for me to understand it. Thanks in advance.

It's just like a Word processor and I have used this for years to create simple static web pages. It's bundled in with Seamonkey so google for that.

There are dozens of free web editors so I'll just share what I use too often for my work.

you can try wordpress. Mainly it is for bloggers, but as wordpress is open sourced, you can fully customise your site powered by wordpress. Google the tutorials about wordpress.

Three of the best are:

1) WebPlus Starter Edition (no Html knowledge needed)
2) WebDwarf (no Html knowledge needed)
3) AceHtml (some Html knowledge needed)
