Web design & hosting forum: ipowerweb ''AVOID'' at all cost, under fraud investigation

We've been w/ ipower for almost a year now with a retail-selling business website...it was good up until they decided to 'upgrade' their websites, since January we haven't been able to access our website! They keep telling me it's fixed then I try it and it still doesn't work so I call them, after a llloooonnnnngggg wait on hold, I am told that a 'tech will call me back THEY NEVER DO!!! then I e-mail them and they keep telling me that it is fixed or I'm doing something wrong, but they tell me how to access the website, but they leave out some of the major steps...so, after 2 months...I can access my business e-mail and I can delete items on my website, but I still cannot edit it or add items. A computer geek said that their system no longer accepts JPEG's a universal code...so how am I supposed to add images to a catalog??? and even going thru Paypal cart buttons directly, they cannot be added to our web pages...STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS POSING AS A HOSTING SERVER!!!! ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN CONTACT THE AZ ATTORNEY GENERAL THAT IS WORKING ON THIS CASE DIRECTLY?

Apparently not! We opened our account with iPowerweb in 2002 and renewed our account with iPower in September 2007. With our new contract, our account is fully paid until September 2010.

During the last five years we have had minor problems with our web site hosting services with iPowerweb.

However, we have noted that we have had NO success in publishing our web site with ANY updates since we were transferred to the new iPower Platform in June 2008.

Meanwhile, we have followed every instruction and suggestion provided by iPower Technical Support through e-Mails, Online Support Tickets generated through the company's vDeck Control Panel, Online Live Chats, Telephone Support Requests, etc. and we continue to have problems re-publishing our web site.

I had the same problem I updated my credit card info with Ipower web they AUTOMATICALLY billed me for everything (Hosting, Website BackUp)EVEN BILLED ME FOR THINGS I DID NOT AUTHORIZE EXCEPT my DOMAIN NAME - never billed. I noticed my website was down unknowning to me WHY cause to my knowledge they billed me for everything, i gave them a call. They told me it was my responsibility to pay the DOMAIN NAME eventhough they automatically billed my card for everything else, now that the THIRTY DAYS are over I have to pay a $160 FEE. No one at IPOWER could explain why they did not bill the DOMAIN NAME FEE of $10.95 and for the past 7 years they always AUTMOMATICALLY charged my credit card account.

I got ripped off with Ipower web design. It did cost me up to $4000.00. I am currently trying to get my money back.
