Losing Internet connection after idle time...

I've had this annoying problem for quite some time now and I have been
unable to find anything online that would fix it...
I'm using Windows XP on a new (4 months old) Toshiba notebook computer. I
have a broadband Internet connection (satellite) that I'm running
through a server which allows me to share this connection with several
other computers in my house on the network. All of the other computers
can access the Internet just fine through this broadband connection and
none of them experience the problem encountered on this one notebook
I can boot up this notebook computer every morning and logon to the
Internet via my broadband connection on the network without any
problems at all. However, if this computer then sits idle for an hour
of so after logging on, when I come back to this computer and try to go
to another Web site, I get the standard message that the site is not
found indicating that I've lost the Internet connection. This happens
with any site I try.
But at the exact same time, I can switch over to another computer on my
desk (which is also using this same broadband Internet connection via
the network) and the same site I attempted to go to will come up just
fine on this other computer, telling me that there is no problem with my
broadband connection at the time.
However, I also have a backup dial-up account for this notebook
computer. After losing the Internet connection as described above, I
can switch over to my dial-up connection on this computer and
immediately logon and get right back online and go to whatever site I
was attempting just minutes before.
Then, after visting one or two other sites, if I disconnect from my
dial-up connection and go back to the broadband connection on this same
notebook computer, my broadband connection starts working fine again
and will remain so as long as the computer is not idle for more than an
hour or so.
Again, this only happens on this one computer on my network and it has
happened consistently now for several weeks.
For anyone who could suggest a solution to this problem, I would
greatly appreciate it.
